On 31 March 2026, LMP Design took part in Meet The Experts – MTE HCMC 2026 at Vinpearl Landmark 81, as part of the Design Panel on Experiential Hospitality in Vietnam — a professional discussion exploring how design is shaping new hospitality experiences in Vietnam.
Representing LMP Design, Nguyen Thi Lan Phuong – Founder & CEO, joined fellow professionals in architecture, interiors and hospitality to share perspectives on spatial experience, design value and, in particular, the concept of “Affordable Luxury” in today’s market.

Affordable Luxury – when luxury is not defined by cost alone
One of the key ideas LMP Design shared during the panel was its perspective on Affordable Luxury — an approach that seeks to balance the quality of experience, design value and the practical realities of each project.
At LMP Design, Affordable Luxury does not mean compromising quality in order to reduce cost.
On the contrary, when resources are limited, design decisions need to become more precise: understanding what genuinely creates value, which details deserve investment, and which elements can be restrained without diminishing the overall character of the space.
Luxury, therefore, does not necessarily come from expensive materials or overt displays. It can be experienced through proportion, light, materiality, comfort, refinement and the emotions a space evokes.

Experiential design – from space to emotion
In hospitality, a beautiful space is only the beginning. Lasting value lies in how people experience and remember it throughout their journey — from arrival and movement to moments of rest and the smallest touchpoints of light, material and interior detail.
At LMP Design, Architecture – Interiors – Landscape should not be treated as separate layers. When developed as an integrated whole, these disciplines can create seamless, distinctive experiences with a stronger connection to the user.
This is also how LMP Design approaches luxury in contemporary design: not only through what can be seen, but through the quality of feeling a space leaves behind.
Creating greater value through every design decision
Every project comes with real constraints in budget, area, schedule and operational requirements.
Rather than viewing these constraints as barriers to creativity, LMP Design sees them as part of the design challenge.
Good design does not necessarily mean using more. What matters is knowing where to invest, where to exercise restraint and how to create the greatest value from available resources. In this sense, Affordable Luxury is not a compromise; it is a disciplined approach to design, in which every decision contributes to the user experience and the long-term value of the project.
The value of a space lies in how it makes people feel
MTE HCMC 2026 provided an opportunity for LMP Design to contribute to a broader dialogue on the future of hospitality — where experience, identity, aesthetics and investment efficiency increasingly need to be balanced within a single design strategy. For LMP Design, the value of a space is not determined by cost alone. A sense of luxury can emerge from well-resolved proportions, carefully controlled light, the right material, or simply the sense of comfort and ease a person feels on entering a space. This was also the perspective LMP Design shared at MTE HCMC 2026: Luxury is not defined by cost, but by how a space makes people feel.
